Typology: Commercial Application: Multi-brand clothing store Area: 30 m² Client: SORTAGE Style: Modernism, Constructivism Photographer: Inna Kablukova
Completed: August 2022 Location: Kutuzovsky Avenue 48, Moscow, Russia
The compact 30 m² store accommodates a wide range of limited-edition products from various fashion brands — from Nike to Louis Vuitton. The walls of the space are decorated with basic construction materials, such as Knauf aluminum profiles for drywall, polished to a mirror finish that reflects the multifaceted lighting within the initially dark, black space.
The reception desk, made of stainless steel with a hand-polished metal surface, and a fluorescent-colored coffee table with a stainless steel tabletop add to the store’s unique character. Display shelves and rails crafted from steel pipes, along with numerous designer shelves, all feature a fluorescent green color, giving the concept store its distinct identity and drawing customers’ attention to the retail space, setting it apart from other commercial venues.
The Sortage concept store serves as a hub for purchasing limited-edition sneakers, clothing, and accessories from various brands. The design aimed to create a new focal point for customers within the shopping mall. The store appears as a bright, unusually reflective space with fresh and vibrant color accents, immediately catching the eye and arousing curiosity, inviting visitors to step inside and explore what lies beyond the displays.
Despite its modest size and the use of construction materials in its finishes, the space is perceived as something special and exclusive, leaving visitors with a sense of uniqueness and the desire to become a part of it.
