The Georgian brand LNB Studio presents its new space at the “Vremena Goda” shopping mall. The project’s main goal was to create a unique store that highlights the brand’s brutalist aesthetic and Georgian heritage under the slogan “Made in Georgia.”
During the research of the brand’s products and social media content, we identified a preference for brutalist aesthetics, evident not only in the clothing but also in the choice of photoshoot locations. We used readily available finishing materials to embody this aesthetic in the store’s interior. Torn concrete-like textures on the walls and quartz vinyl tiles imitating concrete on the floor created a raw, industrial impression within the space.
Special attention was given to the design of the store’s fixtures. Architect Gleb Kirenkov designed the storage and fitting room areas using metal panels painted in bright yellow. The uniqueness of this solution lies in the fact that the panels are part of a structural-profile rail system that can easily slide against the wall. This approach not only expedited the construction and renovation process but also introduced a new perspective on spatial design and retail equipment.
Inspiration was also drawn from Georgia’s architectural history, particularly the Central Bank building (formerly the Ministry of Road Construction) in Tbilisi, designed by architects Giorgi Chakhava and Zurab Jalaghania in 1975. Stainless steel and structural profiles were used to design a two-level podium with an adjustable-height rail. The display window was styled with cinder blocks and a platform made of stainless steel with a yellow metal base. The fitting room door, made from stainless steel with a neat circular cut-out, effortlessly slides to the side despite its weight and size.
The LNB Studio showroom has become a space where bold design blends with Georgian architectural heritage, featuring unique objects that combine functionality and aesthetics. This brutalist space with bright accents draws the attention of new visitors to the “Vremena Goda” shopping mall and offers them a fresh perspective on the world of fashion.
