Typology: Residential Interior Application: For 2 People Area: 75 m² Client: Private Style: Modernism, Minimalism / Loft Version
2021, Greece
We moved away from the classic loft style in wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, opting for KOURASANIT, a material similar to microcement but with a primary component sourced from Greece.
The kitchen on the first floor is made entirely of stainless steel, with a color accent on the central facades (including a transparent glass option). The shower room has become softer due to the use of lighter and white tones.
An accent pink color in the shower area is complemented by a transparent pink partition. This allows light entering the bathroom through the large window in the shower zone to pass through the colorful partition, casting a pink hue on the light walls during the day.
The second floor is a combined sleeping and bathing area. The mattress is positioned on a platform, with a second level behind the headboard that can accommodate an additional floor light. Between the bed and the bathtub, there is a sheet metal wardrobe with a sliding door.
The basement of the guest house serves as a laundry area with washing machines tucked under the staircase landing, along with a large wardrobe and systems for both open and closed storage for non-refrigerated food items. The interior color palette is light, featuring bold, solid purple tones—a design choice made for children to avoid negative or frightening associations with the basement.
