Sheremetyevsky Residential Complex, Moscow, Russia
This studio project in the Sheremetyevsky Residential Complex was designed for a freelancer working in graphic design. The main concept was to divide the small space into private and working zones while concealing the wardrobe and kitchen area.
In this project, dark shades contrast with red tones, unified by the texture of wood used for furniture facades and flooring.
We also continued to integrate our design code—the signature false wall behind the bed, which hides a mobile clothing rail.
This project is one of our favorites as it transforms our design concept of false walls into the idea of mobile walls that separate the sleeping area, workspace, and kitchen zone.
We concealed the tracks within the suspended ceiling, allowing the veneered MDF panels with a stained oak finish to form a seamless surface when fully extended along the space.
The track system is designed so that, as needed, the resident can either open up the workspace to focus on new designs or slide aside segments to access the kitchen for preparing breakfast or reheating delivered meals.
